Amateur Boxing Scotland held the second Introduction To Coaching course on Saturday 11th February at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, with an impressive 33 coaches in attendance. The bulk of the course was delivered by ABS Cashback Coordinator Craig McEvoy, with ABS Director Of Coach Education Willie Burns and Coach & Club Development Officer James Docherty adding some club operational information towards the end of the day.
Every one of the 33 attendees gave the course top marks for content and provided some very encuraging and useful feedback for future courses.
Below are some of the comments from the feedback sheets collected at the end of the course:
“Great to see a range of drills for correcting faults on straight arm shots”
“Technical input was of a real high quality”
“The Tutor’s were very clear in explanation”
“Excellent delivery, pitched at the right level”
“Good material to read up on and refresh on todays content”
“The enthusiasm and teaching methods from Craig were outstanding”
“A good, well structured insight to boxing coaching, as a beginner”
“Most beneficial part of the course for me was Craigs experience and knowledge, also James and Willie. Top course, I learned loads”
“Tutors were first class 10/10″
“The course was excellent, thouroughly enjoyed all of it”
Just some of the positive comments to come from the course feedback forms. Not one person from the 33 who attended had anything negative to say about the whole day. ABS hope to build on this success and enthusiasm from all involved and will communicate details of further courses in due course.
ABS would like to thank Craig McEvoy, the course attendees and the Ravenscraig Staff for making the whole day a success.
