Cashback Amateur Boxing Academy Re-commences after Easter Break!

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

After an extremely successful Academy assessment week nationwide and a well-deserved Easter break for all involved, the Academy clubs will be opening their doors again next week delivering free sessions all over the country.

All Academy boxers who successfully completed Phase 1 will now move on to Phase 2, which will incorporate more advanced skills including ‘bent arm’ punches, ring craft and tactical awareness.

Additionally, we also expect a new wave of youngsters to be starting the Academy after the positive publicity we witnessed surrounding the various assessments.  Therefore the Academy clubs will be running both Phase 1 and 2 simultaneously, which should create a real buzz within the clubs!

As always the clubs doors will be open to any youngster irrespective at what stage the Academy is at – increased participation and exposure to our sport is the key!

Amateur Boxing Scotland is also extremely pleased to announce an increase in clubs wishing to participate in the Academy – additional clubs will be announced in the next Cashback post.

This weekend a Cashback coaches ‘Tutor’ day will take place to inform the new clubs of the Academy program, monitoring and payment procedure and also demonstrations of different skill drills and games that can be carried out with the youngsters.  Details are as follows:
