2012 Senior Finals – Spectator Information

With three days to the Senior finals and the event firmly on target to sell out, ABS would like to provide an update to those spectators and supporters planning to attend on Friday 30 March 2012.

Staff at Meadowbank Sports Centre have informed ABS that due to the number of tickets sold and the expected 1000 strong audience, spectators will not gain access to the facility through the main entrance.

Instead, spectators will gain access to Meadowbank through the blues gates towards the rear of the car park and via the fire exits adjacent to the five aside football pitches. Once in the building spectators will be directed to the ticket gate.

There are a limited number of tickets available from the ABS Office (0845 241 7016) that can be ordered, collected and paid for at the Ticket desk on the night. Please call now to avoid disappointment on the evening.

Josh Taylor – Live streaming of the Feliks Stamm tournament

As announced previously – Josh Taylor will compete in the 60kg final of the Feliks Stamm tournament tournament later today against Aydi Burgamin of Turkey. It will be possible to watch Josh in action as the finals will be streamed live via the following link  www.mtbs.pl

The finals commence at 17.15 GMT.

Plea for Officials – Sunday 25 March 2012

Following the fantastic amount of entries received for the 2012 Schoolboy and Junior Championships, ABS is in urgent need of as many Referees and Judges as possible to officiate on the second day of the event tomorrow.

50 bouts will be completed today – 24 March 2012 – and there will be a further 18 bouts in ring one and 12 in ring two on Sunday 25 March. ABS would appreciate those officials who are available being present at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Centre by 10.45am. The second day of boxing may be in jeopardy if there is not a sufficient amount of officials to assist.
