About Us
Amateur Boxing Scotland is the national governing body for Amateur Boxing in Scotland.
Founded in 2000, Amateur Boxing Scotland was incorporated into a company limited by guarantee in January 2000.
It comprises three districts North, East and West and has 107 affiliated boxing clubs across the country.
Based in Livingston, Amateur Boxing Scotland has five reporting to the sports Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is in place to represent the needs of our clubs and members through their individual districts and manage the strategic and constitutional structure of our sport.
In addition to these roles, we have thousands of volunteers across the country, working hard to support our sport and ensure its success at every level.
Amateur Boxing Scotland’s primary objectives are to -
- widen opportunities for more people to become involved in Boxing.
- provide the best possible opportunities for those involved to gain enjoyment and maximise their potential, and:
- support those with talent to succeed at Olympic, Commonwealth, European and World level.
- run the sport efficiently and effectively, and provide excellent service to members and stakeholders
