well done ryan smith,well deserved the best boxer of the night,good friend of mine and was a shame we had to box,im ust glad i made me 1st ever final,and hope there will be more to come.maybe get you next time ryan lol.well done kid.dose anybody know where i can buy the DVD from??

Got to agree, from the pre-lims throught to the finals, it’s been well organised and we’ve had some cracking bouts, thought the atmosphere at the finals was brilliant.

Abs ltd, HAVE to respect club shows, some of which have been arranged for months in advance, remember without the ‘grassroots’ club shows, we have no boxing!!! also, forums are all about opinions;0

Kev, i appriciate your point and I know that pre-planning has to be done at the earliest opportunity by the hosting frederation, but we are sending guys to this tourney, two of whom where fortunate to be in their respective finals, McGinn and Finney and others including Johnstone who didn’t enter either his district competition or the scottish, I watched Finney the other night and he was shocking, looking for single shots then continually holding and fouling in fact he was lucky not to be disqualified in the third for deliberately loosening his glove then spitting out his gumshield! FYI I did represent my country abroad on four occassions in the mid nineties
Dare i suggest someone from your club is in the Finland squad?

Am glad thr sending boys tho, if the boys don’t go they’ll neva get the experance. Aw the best 2 aw our boys. Remeber its no easy 2 select a team 2 please ever 1, and no 1 should ever blame the boxers 4 thatm we should support them aw

Joe I don’t know what’s going on in ur personal life but if boxings making u so unhappy u should wrap it pal ur just making a big deal over nowt, even people who thnk ur awright r startn to get sick o yeh.a wee birdy told me the graaroots was gon get pulled anyway !!! U should b more careful who u trust wee man…

Maybe if the Date was set for 2nd May or 21st May or 28th May the shoe would be in the other foot

and if 25 English clubs where interested in boxing on our show a wouldn’t say it was rubbish

you clearly havent ever been involved in a national squad, how could you expect to do that when they orginizers have to have the imformation weeks in advance !!!
